ABSTRACT
Up early: have to meet a visitor in the lab. Where are the car keys? Not in pocket; not on dressing table; not on floor. Dropped in other room? Oh well, they can’t be locked in the car – foolproof system prevents this disaster. Where on earth are they? Left in the car door? Go to look. Not in door. Glance inside. There they are – in the ignition lock! So then, surely, the doors cannot be locked – the system is foolproof. But they are locked. So the keys are locked in. Hell.
