ABSTRACT

This book developed a systematic approach to teach researchers in economics (and other social sciences) how to conceive of original contributions, while also aiming to bring the scholarship of intellectual creativity by economists within the domain of economics. It argued that most economic researchers hold rather unsophisticated ideas about intellectual creativity that are not informed by the actual research on the topic. This hampers not only the pedagogy of economics but also closes off an area with great potential for further research. This chapter will explore some of these possibilities.
