ABSTRACT
This chapter identifies the key definitions including transportable building, evaluation, functional performance, small-scale and public buildings. In small-scale transportable buildings, the design of circulation space is important because it often includes paths to emergency exits. Usability needs to be focused on as the real purpose of the design of a product, to meet the needs of real users in their specific environment. Generally, the scale of a transportable building is a key aspect in controlling its finance. In architecture, aesthetics generally means appearance and sense, referring to matters of visual quality of the building. The visual appearance of transportable buildings is determined by the combination of scale, construction system, material, colour and illumination at different percentages. The scale of transportable buildings is usually driven by their functional requirements, including their capacity, user groups and the frequency of use, and the buildings can be divided into three groups: large-scale, medium-scale and small-scale.
