ABSTRACT

In Creative Process, the nature of creativity is explored. Creativity is compared to relevance, innovation, and productivity. Other opening topics include creativity in the natural world; integration of art and science; intuition and analysis; influences and originality. Stages of creative process are given. Chapter 7 then divulges a variety of methods, practices, and techniques common to creative process. Various innovations from the twentieth century avant-garde art movements and seminal music genres are presented, before diving into a substantial list of practical techniques that can immediately be applied by the reader in their own works. We conclude with discussion about the importance of time limits and deadlines for productive creativity, before wrapping up with issues surrounding creative blocks.
