ABSTRACT
I ceased to trust in the Liberal Party when I was convinced that they were not prepared to go on and courageously face the bread-and-butter problems of the time--the problems of poverty, stunted lives, and pauper- and criminal-making conditions of labour. Neither Tories nor Liberals have a Labour policy as we understand it.
