ABSTRACT

Chapter 10 explains the political theory of Radical Democracy. The organizing structure of self-organizing confederalism resolves the relational dialectic of whether governing institutions exhibit a centralized structure based on group sovereignty or a decentralized structure based on individual sovereignty. The process dialectic of strong versus moderate governing authority of the sovereign is resolved through the concept of power-with. The method of integration is applied to the policy making process. Radical Democracy transforms the state into a mechanism that facilitates coordinated effort among deeply participatory groups that are confederated from the most local to the global scope.
