ABSTRACT

A research paper is structured in three major sections: (a) the initial or preliminary sections; (b) the text of the document; and (c) the final section (Figure 7.1). The preliminary section might vary according to the requirements of each institution, but it always includes the first pages of the document. These range from the cover to all the information prior to the actual text of the document. The text is the most important part of the document. The final section includes the references list and appendices (Figure 7.2).
