SERIOUSLYneuroticpeopleareoftenapttodislikeanddespisethemselvesandtothinkmuchworseofthem-selvesthantheobjectivefactswouldjustify.Themajority ofhumanbeings,however,tendtojudgethemselvesand theirfamilies,organizations,countriesandsoonmore lenientlythantheyjudgetheirneighbours,otherorganizationsorothercountries.Thlscomesoutinourchoiceof words.Solongaswerealizewhatwearedoingitdoesnot matter;butwhenwearenotconsciousofthisnaturalhuman inclinationwecanbeveryuntruthful,unfairandevendangerousbyourmisuseofwords.
