ABSTRACT
Organizations including businesses, non-profits, and government agencies are both part of the problem and part of the solution when it comes to sustainability. This chapter outlines key theories and examples of organizations that are working to support, encourage, enable, and guide sustainability transitions. Strategies and instruments are reviewed that have proven successful in encouraging change within organizations. New types of organizations are discussed that can address sustainability problems in ways that previous organizational structures and forms could not.
