Introduction In this chapter, you will learn about ACT’s values process, which can be helpful in providing a map for life. Rather than being guided by wavering thoughts and feelings, identifying and connecting to a set of distinct values can help you to press forward with consistency and commitment. Although difcult thoughts and feelings may seem especially persuasive, leading to fusion and avoidance, values can help you to engage with life again, doing what matters most in this short time you have to live the life God has planned for you.
