ABSTRACT

A dispute arises when someone advances a standpoint and someone else casts doubt upon it. Though it may sound paradoxical, in order to further the resolution of disputes the expression of differences of opinion must also be furthered. 1 It is only when a dispute has fully come to light that it becomes possible to make systematic attempts at resolving it. Ideally, the dispute should become clear at the confrontation stage, which precedes the actual resolution process in a critical discussion.
