ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the conversation among facilitator, two players, and eleven listeners who are named with alphabets from A to H, and from J to L, for duet improvisation. Facilitator asked the players to think about what they were hearing, before they listen to it in playback. Player 1 replied to facilitator that he or she was feeling a lot of longer, more legato things happening in the music, so he or she went along with that. Listener A joined with them and replied that Listener A heard the same thing just the long sounds, especially the way the facilitator started, and player 1 played off of that with chords. All participants listen to the playback of CD Track #4. After listening remaining player and listeners were also participated in the conversation and shared their thoughts. The chapter enables any musician, from beginner to professional, to improve creativity and self-expression.
