ABSTRACT
Usually, in their haste to ask for a release of ten sion, teachers just say, “relax.” By doing so, they jeopardize the form of the movement. When the state of release is understood and attained, it bal ances the interior performing energies with the exterior design of the body or movement without sapping the energy needed to support the move ment from within.
