ABSTRACT
Calorx Education and Research Foundation, Ahmedabad, was established in 1995 to provide quality primary and secondary education in Gujarat. As a first step Calorx brought the Delhi Public School brand to Gujarat and today the Foundation straddles the entire spectrum of primary and secondary education through a number of different institutions. The Visamo Kids Foundation was established by Calore in 2002 as a shelter for underprivileged children where they will be provided educational opportunities. It is also expected that these children, when grown up, will become change agents in their respective communities. A large network of organizations and individuals manage the various activities of the foundation. The chapter focuses on the problems faced by the social organization and its future plans.
