ABSTRACT

Alcock traces a long journey, from manufacturing simple, low technology cement articles such as benches and window frames, to precast structures for washrooms for industrial units, to high-quality mosaic tiles and pavers, to huge Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) pipes for drainage projects and finally, contracting for drainage projects. The chapter discusses the mission, vision and values of the founders which shaped the course of business and imparted it the strategy and environment within which the organization operated.
