Sindhis and the Electronics Trade Community Cluster in Ahmedabad *

This chapter describes the evolution of the Sindhi electronics trade cluster in Ahmedabad. Beginning with the development of the electronics industry and trade, the case narrows its focus to the Sindhis and their presence — internationally, and in Ahmedabad — in this trade. The role of the Sindhi network in providing an advantage to the community is examined.
