ABSTRACT

Hunt, Foliage (1818); Literary Gazette, April 4, 1818, pp. 210–212. The critic seems to have some genuine poetic taste and is able to distinguish Hunt’s successful images from his unfortunate diction. The review avoids commenting on Hunt’s religious views, as expressed in his sonnets to Shelley.
