ABSTRACT
Godwin, Enquiry concerning Political Justice (1793); Analytical Review, XVI (June 1793), 121-130; XVI (Aug. 1793), 388-404. The purpose of this two-part review was apparently to outline and disseminate Godwin’s ideas, rather than to criticize them. Joseph Johnson was a friend and patron of Thomas Paine, Mary Wollstonecraft, and Godwin himself.
