[Byron] Ode to Napoleon Buonaparte (3rd edition, 1814); New Review, III (May 1814), 502–504. The habit of the New Review of reviewing later editions of Byron’s poems here works to the critic’s advantage, for he is able to treat the poem as Byron’s even though the poet’s name does not appear on the title page.
