Byron, Werner (1822); Monthly Magazine, LIV (Jan. 1823), 504–507. The unidentified contributor of the series entitled “News from Parnassus” writes the first hostile review that the Monthly Magazine had given Byron, but the reviewer criticizes Werner strictly on literary rather than moral grounds.
