ABSTRACT
[Byron ] Don Juan IX-XI (1823); Literary Museum, Sept. 6, 1823, pp. 564–565. Possibly the reviewer of Byron had changed since the review of Don Juan, VI-VIII, but in any case the tone of the attack on Byron has become as shrill in the Literary Museum as it is in its rival weeklies. This suggests that public opinion was influencing the reviewers.
