ABSTRACT
During the 1820’s, the only serious rival to Blackwood’s Edinburgh Magazine in point of lasting literary merit was the LONDON MAGAZINE first published by Baldwin, Cradock and Joy and, therefore, popularly known as Baldwin’s London Magazine to distinguish it from Gold’s London Magazine (q-v.).
