ABSTRACT

Coleridge, Poems (2nd edition, 1797); Critical Review, 2nd Series, XXIII (July 1798), 266-268. The reviewer for the Critical who wrote on Coleridge’s early volumes of verse was probably acquainted with Him and certainly wished him well, even though the reviewer’s taste was more closely tied to eighteenth-century ideals than that of Coleridge was during this period.
