ABSTRACT
The chapter outlines the language of the eyes and the many types of eye behavior and expression. Eye behaviors can be measured through frequency, total duration, proportion of time, average duration, and standard deviation of glances. Functions of eye behaviors include attention and interest, relational development, persuasion, interaction, emotions, power, and impression management.
