ABSTRACT
Apart from the natural concern for adolescents, there are major reasons to justify the increasing interest in adolescent substance abuse. Rising prevalence, changes in pattern of use, continuity to adult addictive behaviour, different aetiological factors and management requirements all ·make this a special area for study.
