ABSTRACT

This interview with the architectural critic Ellis

Woodman took place at the Boot & Flogger

in Southwark, London, in March 2013. The

conversation addresses three ‘exegetic’ propositions

put forward in the closing stages of my doctoral

research. These propositions – established in three

books – span from the scale of a large building

through to a whole city quarter, to the consideration

of a trans-national topography: the productive

landscapes bordering the North Sea.
