ABSTRACT

You next ask yourself, in what order do we need to do these things? You could just run around and try to accomplish them randomly, but it seems that a certain order would be appropriate. After all, you don’t want to publicize the drive before you know what kinds of food are needed. And you need to let people know where they can leave their donations, so you had better get drop-off sites identified and authorized before you develop publicity. So you need to work out a sequence of activities that makes sense. Figure 6.2 provides a CPM network that does exactly that. Each of the activities is represented by one of the arrows. The events (circles) designate the beginning or end of an activity.
