ABSTRACT
I have deliberately used the word ‘grow’ in the title rather than CPD (continuing professional development), which can sound a little cold and remote and has the potential to remind us of the worst training days we have been on. We need to keep growing in life and in teaching. As teachers, we have three main reasons to do so:
developments. These may be developments in the subject area, developments in technology, developments in teaching method, and new specifi cations. Each of these require that we grow and develop in order not to be left behind.
