ABSTRACT
The video game industry had a significant a cultural impact on a whole generation as Citizen Kane, The Elephant Man and Bambi had on the generation before them. Video games inspired by Hollywood properties like Ghostbusters, Batman and Star Trek. In turn, Hollywood has produced movies inspired by video games such as Silent Hill, Max Payne and Hitman though, in truth, to very little critical acclaim. In a 2014 Financial Times article, a spokesperson outlined why Nike+ Fuel was an important part of this innovation and core to their business. The result was his company Mindbloom and an initial pair of life-transforming games Life Game and Bloom. Life Game uses a tree metaphor to visualise personal well-being. One of the most common misconceptions about wearables is that we are independent devices. Actually, wearable devices communicate with each other and with the Internet through a set of technologies that form a wireless personal area network.
