ABSTRACT

Our analysis of the longitudinal data sets has generated interesting new findings about the structures of daily travel and their determinants. This is particularly true for the analysis of human activity spaces, which had never been investigated in such detail before. We believe our findings will support the development of better behavioural models of destination choice – a field which still attracts a lot of attention in transportation research (see Bekhor and Prashker 2007 for a recent discussion).
