ABSTRACT
The modern world of physics is founded on the two tested and demonstrably sound theories of general relativity and quantum mechanics; theories which appear to contradict one another in the deepest of ways. The First World War is credited with having taken 15,000,000 lives, but even that was not enough to quell the ever increasing tension. As the industrial powerhouse of Europe began to creak under its success a great depression decended and Adolph Hitler saw his chance to rise to power in Germany. Turing machines are to this day a central object of study in theory of computation and, Turing went on to prove that there was no solution to the Entscheidungs problem by first showing that the halting problem for Turing machines is undecidable. A quantum computer is a device for computation that makes direct use of quantum mechanical phenomena, such as superposition and entanglement, to perform operations on data.
