ABSTRACT
For the sake of indicating the subject-matter more closely, it may be noted, first of all, that we still exclude from consideration all judgements that are concerned with the consonance and the peculiarities of tones pertaining to this. For reasons of method, we shall not discuss judgements of this kind until Chapter Four [unpublished] after investigating judgements about simultaneous tones.
