ABSTRACT
The critical study of the theory of rational choice has fascinated me since my university days. Why we make certain decisions in certain circumstances, often defying common sense and our own intentions, has always been a fundamental question for me. While I have often acknowledged the importance of systems, of organizations and of collectives both in the economic and social spheres, it has always been my conviction that the correct analytical perspective will focus on the individual and the factors guiding his choice.
