ABSTRACT

This chapter concludes, assessing and comparing the two case studies from the point of view of their impact on regional water relations, and arguing that, overall, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan have all used their power to assert their interests and get the desired outcome to maintain or contest hegemony. It then enumerates the contributions of this study to the hydropolitical debate and concludes by outlining areas for future research.
