ABSTRACT
The very repetition of the theme may have the opposite effect of making it feel like practitioners’ subjects are beating the topic into the ground. But have patience and keep watching; the magic of this process is that with the newfound clarity of being able to see these clips side by side instead of scattered throughout zillions of hours of footage their instincts will start to get sharper about what is truly relevant and how these clips relate to each other. Practitioners may also find that some of their clips have been mis-categorized and are not in the proper topic reel. By looking at all practitioners’ select reels, they have the guts of your film in a more compact and organized form. Practitioners can look it over and try to come to some initial conclusions about where their film is headed.
