ABSTRACT
We have established that Departure is a feature central to the correct calculation of distance when travelling on either a due Easterly course of 090° T, or a due Westerly course of 270° T along a parallel of Latitude. We must now consider tracks which cross parallels of Latitude diagonally on any courses other than due East or West.
