ABSTRACT
Now that all the methods for calculating course and distance have been explored, this chapter contains 20 test papers which will give you the opportunity to practice the calculations and, to make sure that you are not making careless mistakes, the solutions are also included. Whilst the right answer is important, it is equally important that you follow the process through and at every stage remind yourself that your calculator will only perform what you ask it to do. It is up to you to make sure that the answer is in the correct units. This requires that you actually look at what you have written down and ask yourself if what you have written makes sense. Many students get to the final line of their work and lose the marks because the answer is in the wrong units.
