ABSTRACT
The final chapter sums up the development of the Athenian legal system within the broader parameters of an ever-evolving Democratic constitution and concludes that Athenian Law was the vessel and the voice of Democracy and its principles of equality before the law, freedoms of speech, thought and expression, and the inalienable right of a citizen to live as one pleased in his/her private life.
