ABSTRACT
Thousands of decisions need to be made during the development of a commercial aircraĞ. But poor communication within such a complex project can lead to delays in the decision process or in poor decisions in the first place. Both can result later – and very oĞen do – in unnecessary rework. If this happens to one decision it will usually not have serious consequences. But the aggregate effect of myriads of delayed or poor decisions is staggering. It results in unwanted consequences with regard to aircraĞ quality, maturity, development cycle time and cost. It must therefore be ensured that:
the right decisions can be taken; in a timely manner; at the right level.
