ABSTRACT

The content of the communication plan is directly related to the persons, information and methods of communication that are appropriate to the project. Implementation style refers to how we present ourselves and therefore how our messages are perceived. Until very recently, most Western countries following the American management style favoured loud extrovert type of communication and management. The project manager in a synchronic culture should give particular emphasis to developing a comprehensive project communication plan and insist on it being followed rigorously. As far as project schedule and resource allocation is concerned, much of the communication aspects were discussed in Planning and Tracking'. We will therefore place more emphasis on general project communication and reporting with regards to specifications, updates meetings and reports, and so on. Highly feminine cultures have the opposite preference to very high PDI cultures. Collectivism has many advantages that have proven its management effectiveness.
