ABSTRACT

Intelligence is the product of an analytical process called the 'intelligence cycle'. This process is executed by people with various intelligence functions, from data collection through data processing to analysis. Digital intelligence refers to intelligence activities that are directed towards digital data sources, primarily in an online and telecommunications context. Digital intelligence differs from Computer Forensics in that the latter focuses on recovering data from devices seized during the course of an investigation, such as laptops, PCs and mobile phones. Most digital data today comes in the form of Big Data. A Twitter provides us with a perfect example of social media diversity. Unlike Facebook, where users 'friend' each other and form what can effectively become closed user groups, Twitter is by its very design a broadcast medium. Steganography is the science of concealing messages within other media, such as images, video or sound files.
