ABSTRACT

Organisations need adequate cyber security because of the risks posed by malicious hackers including international criminal gangs. A holistic approach is needed for where cyber risks arise and who can be responsible for them is essential if these risks are to be managed effectively. Cyber security processes need to deal with three types of people: outsiders, insiders and a set of people. Insiders are people who work for organisation. Most insiders cause damage through carelessness, or perhaps simple naivety caused by the failure of organisation to educate them about cyber risks. The United States' (US') Army contracts much of its logistics services out to private contractors who are responsible for transporting US military personnel and equipment around the world. Cyber security tends to focus on the corporate network. Cyber security isn't just about managing remote digital threats. Sometimes hackers need to get in physical contact with equipment to do the damage.
