ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the data that was collected via a small group interview and through a questionnaire survey. The data was analysed and interpreted. Managers in the public and private sectors work with different business models and because of this the concept of organizational learning is interpreted differently and there is no single view as to what organizational learning represents. An issue concerning senior managers is how an industry is policed/regulated and what form of co-operation exists within the industry. It is highly unlikely that in a key industry competitors do not talk with each other or share information of a non-sensitive type. Many of the activities relating to training and putting systems in place to counteract actual threats can be grouped in the area of information management and systems. It can be suggested that what is required is a risk assessment that allows senior management to make a sensible decision the implementation of a cyber security strategy.
