ABSTRACT

The research project leading to this book was commissioned for the conclusion of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Through Design (CETLD) initiative. The project was intended as one of the ways through which findings from this substantial body of work could be communicated to those in higher education and museum education and possibly also to other spheres where learning through design is practised. The reports and findings of projects were digested and considered in the context of a number of design education debates but most of all, the projects were considered through the accounts of the researchers themselves.
