ABSTRACT
Participants are given flyers with cartoons drawn on them depicting different new employee situations and told to come up with captions for the cartoons. When the time is up, show the cartoons one by one on an overhead projector and have the different groups share their captions. Let the group choose their favourite caption for each cartoon. Let them decide which cartoons they want to offer a caption for. As you play this game with various classes, keep some of the funniest captions and share them at the end of this activity. Maybe you can choose one caption from each class for the Caption Hall of Fame. Post the cartoons on the induction website and let participants offer captions. Have them give their names with their captions and all the participants can then vote on the funniest, the best, the most accurate, and so forth. Have a Hall of Fame for the cartoon captions voted best.
