ABSTRACT

To help new employees learn where things are located and where to go to get certain things done. Large wall maps of the area, the grounds of the organization, and the main building; different coloured wall chart pins or small round coloured stickers; prizes. Find good, colourful maps of the area, the company grounds, and the main building. Gather local and company pamphlets, brochures, handouts, maps, and other materials that give information related to the three lists and have it available on a nearby table. Put together three lists: one containing areal items of interest such as bus stops, train stations, local eating and shopping establishments, and so on; a second listing various buildings, organizational divisions and groups, and important organization landmarks; and a third list with various departments and offices, the cafeteria, the daycare centre, the health and fitness centre and other relevant areas in the building.
