ABSTRACT

To present basic compliance issues and health and safety information. Gather the general information that is usually distributed to new employees regarding employment legal issues, health and safety legal issues, and other compliance information. Next, construct a true-or-false quiz covering those ten or twelve facts. Design the items for the quiz in a straight forward manner, but don't make them easy. Go through the information and mark what people consider to be the ten or twelve most important facts that you would like new employees to know. It is always fun to find facts that sound as if they could be false, but in reality are true. Include a few items that give information about why a law is important or what happens if compliance is not followed. Use the gavel to announce true or false as you give the answers to each item; afterwards read the actual law. Distribute any related handouts, brochures, or materials as through the quiz.
