ABSTRACT

To acquaint participants with the rules and regulations regarding days off, vacation time, sick time, and emergencies. Participants have to review basic information regarding time off, hours, sick leave, and emergencies by taking an open-book fill-in-the-blank quiz. Go through the employee handbook or other materials and gather information concerning work hours, time off, sick leave and emergencies. Put together a short fill-in-the-blank quiz that covers some of the most basic policies. For example, they might want to use items like: Choose information that they feel is most important for new employees to know, information that covers the most typical questions that new employees bring to their supervisors or the human resources department. Have employee handbooks or other printed materials available for all participants and copies of the quiz to be distributed at the end of the exercise.
