ABSTRACT

To provide participants with a visual overview of how the organization is structured. While the facilitator reads a description of how the organization is structured, the participants attempt to draw an organizational chart. Then, participants are then put into small groups where they share and combine their charts and produce a final organizational chart. Their chart is then compared to the official organizational chart. Before starting a game: Get copies of the most recent official organizational chart. Write a short narrative that describes the chart. Simple procedures for the game: Distribute blank paper to the participants and ask them to listen to people description of how the organization is structured and sketch out an organizational chart accordingly. When their final charts are finished, post them on the wall and distribute the actual chart. Let the participants share and compare all the charts and decide which ones are more like the official one and award prizes accordingly.
