ABSTRACT

To acquaint participants with some of the three-letter abbreviations (TLAs) that is commonly used in the organization. Accordingly, Participants try to match a number of common three-letter abbreviations with the words that they stand for. Before starting a game: Prepare a handout of frequently used three-letter abbreviations. Put the abbreviations across the top of the paper in large print and list a number of possible meanings across the bottom. All organizations have TLA's and right now we're going to look at some of the more popular TLA's in our organizaion. Instructions:Distribute the handouts. Tell participants that they can work in pairs if they like. Then, tell people they will have five minutes to draw lines connecting the TLA's to their right meanings. When time is up, go through the TLA's and give the right meanings. Present prizes to all participants who got them all right.
